“The Build Michigan Awards represent the most outstanding commercial construction projects completed in our state each year,” said Dennis Carignan, AGC Board Chair. “These projects help revitalize cities, improve our economy, and contribute to our daily quality of life.”
The awards recognize commercial construction projects in the categories of building construction, construction management, design-build, federal/heavy, and environmental. Projects are judged on: meeting the challenge of a difficult job, excellence in project management, innovation in construction techniques, sensitivity to the environment, responsiveness to client needs, and the contractor’s contribution to the community.
The association also bestowed its Grand Award to LIFTbuild for the Exchange Residential Tower in Detroit. This award recognizes the best project submitted in a given year.
