The improvements to I-25 will provide significant benefits, including reduced travel times and safer commutes for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians in the Albuquerque area. Currently, there are approximately 102,000 trips by the traveling public that pass through the area daily. Albuquerque population growth by 2040 is expected to significantly increase traffic congestion and delay at adjacent intersections, freeways, and associated on- and off-ramps. This project will address the current and future needs of the traveling public.
