MECHANICSBURG, PA — Dewberry recently announced the promotion of more than 65 employees nationwide, including two staff members within the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, office and four staff members within the firm’s New York City office.

• Curtis Sanno, PE, CBSI, has been promoted to Associate Vice President and serves as the Business Unit Manager. Sanno earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, is a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation-certified Bridge Safety Inspector and is a Professional Engineer in Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
• Mark Geiser, PE, has been promoted to Senior Associate. An Assistant Highway Department Manager and Senior Project Manager, Geiser earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.

• Katherine Dewkett, PE, has been promoted to Associate Vice President. Dewkett manages the site/civil transportation department. She earned a master’s degree in civil engineering structures from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering transportation/structures from the University of Massachusetts. Dewkett is a Professional Engineer in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
• Ozlen Ozkurt, PhD, PE, CFM, ENV SP, has been promoted to Associate Vice President. Ozkurt serves as the Water Resources Department Manager. She earned a doctorate in civil engineering from City University of New York and earned her master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Ozkurt is a Professional Engineer in New York and Connecticut, and a Certified Floodplain Manager and Envision Sustainability Professional.
• Daren Dong, PE, ENV SP, LEED Green Associate, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Dong is a Senior Project Manager in the bridge structures group with an emphasis on complex structures. He earned his master’s degree in civil engineering/wood science and technology from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil/hydraulics engineering from Feng Chia University. Dong is a Professional Engineer in Connecticut and New York, an Envision Sustainability Professional and a LEED Green Associate.
• Leonid Ostrovsky, PE, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Ostrovsky is a Senior Project Manager in the site/civil transportation department. He earned a master’s degree in engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and a bachelor’s degree in highway design from Lviv Polytechnic National University. Ostrovskiy is a Professional Engineer in New York.
